Concord, NH - Today, NHGOP Chairman Stephen Stepanek issued the following statement after Democrats excluded Republicans in the House and Senate from policy decisions in the legislature:
"The people of New Hampshire expect our legislature to work together, despite party differences, to get the job done for the Granite State. Speaker Shurtleff and Senate President Soucy love to claim they are bipartisan and that they seek and take input from both sides of the aisle, but nothing could be further from the truth. New Hampshire deserves new legislative majorities that put the people’s work first - not ones that pursue petty, partisan fights. When Democrats exclude Republicans from the process, they’re excluding the hundreds of thousands of Granite Staters represented by Republicans in the State House and Senate. Until we are included in the process, Republicans should hold off on enabling any rule changes needed to push through the Democrat agenda."
